I did not enjoy my stay at this hotel as the room was in an annexe across the car park it was very basic cold and not as clean as I would have liked. The only window looked onto the car park at ground level, and with cars and people coming and going this was not the quiet room we had hoped for .Although we were asked not to smoke in the room ash cans were placed outside the entry door very close to the room which encouraged people to hang around smoking.I Would not stay here again .
Friendly ,good food
The owner has only recently taken charge , our mattress needed updating.
This hotel had just changed hands in the last six weeks, there seemed to be quite a bit of work going on, all to the good. The main part of the hotel looked to have been freshly decorated. We stayed in one of the rooms seperated from the main building, beds, bedding and towels all very lovely.shower was very good. We had a meal on one night of our stay, very good, well presented. Would have no hesitation in returning.
The price was for bed an continental breakfast, not the continental you get on the continent, to have a full english was an extra £6.50 per person.
Matthew the manager was very accomodating. Nothing was too much trouble. A very pleasant and efficient young man.
Next time will ask for a room on the first floor.too many stairs but was offered a change but not worth the hassle in changing on the last but one day of leaving
Very covenient for our Murder Mystery 50th Birthday Celibration Gathering. The family really enjoyed their stay.
Car park available. Hot baths and sympathetic staff.
Decor in public areas rather dark and dated.
Staff were pleasant , hotel was small enough for staff to deal with guests as individuals. Back rooms quiet (away from main road).
Room & general hotel decor dated. Has an annexe which seems to be more like a hostel. Car parking very tricky- narrow entrance & rstricted turning space.
The breakfast was good
Poor rooms, Like a 50's motel. Needs a lot of renovation to the whole place.
I found the staff very friendly. Wifi was available and worked well. Food good. It was what it said it was in the advertising.
Clean beds and good size rooms,
not happy that we only had one tea bag.between the two of us, would of liked pots of tea at breakfast, and two out of the four in my booking are veggies and no veggie food was served, we then asked for boiled egg and was told that this to was not served. so was served beans on toast but no butter,
The staff and breakfast was very good.
The price for a solo traveller was a bit much. £70 for one person against £75 for 3 people in the room next door to me. We all had breakfast so I think a reduction of more than £5 would have been fairer.
Very friendly staff.
Hotel bedrooms are a bit out of date.
It is an excellant hotel with friendly staff. The continental breakfast is very good - especially the croissants! The rooms are comfortable with everything we need. We stay there because it near the home of our son and his family.
The service. Bookin is not supposed to be till afternoon. I explained that I was coming down for a funeral which was at 1:30. I was told if I was there for elevinish I could book in. Excellent serviice from a very understanding member of staff.
Very tight car park.
All of the staff were great, the rooms were comfortable and great value for money. All in all, this led to a very welcoming atmosphere. We loved it! Also, we booked a double room and got an extra single bed, for free!
